Christine Ziese is a previous graduate from The University of Texas at San Antonio and is returning to pursuit a B.B.A. in Cybersecurity through the online program.  She decided to choose UTSA for this degree based on their proven track record of success for this program.  Currently, she is the Events and Membership coordinator for the Online Cyber Security Alliance (OCSA).  She was also the Meet a Roadrunner in March of 2023. Christine always advocates for the considerations and betterment of the online student experiences and enjoys helping other students as a peer mentor through several different disciplines.  She said that mentorship has been one of the greatest impacts on her ability to succeed and it was through the mentorship of Becky Bace that she ultimately decided to change careers.

While working as the Lead Honors Physics teacher for her district and diligently working to improve curriculum and technology-based learning experiences for her students, she says it is challenging to work full time and go to school full time, but she gladly accepts the challenge and hopes that it is an example to her students that anything is possible with hard work.  Christine comes from a line of educators, but it is per passion to pursuit a career field that her late father was a pioneer in.  Hoping to make a positive impact on her community through cybersecurity, she is considering the area of policy as a starting point.
