This organization is a sub-chapter of the Environmental & Water Resources Institute (EWRI) San Antonio Chapter. EWRI is one of nine institutes of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and is ASCE’s technical source for environmental and water-related issues, focused on advancing water resources and environmental solutions to achieve a sustainable future. Our parent chapter offers student scholarships and a variety of professional networking opportunities.
The student chapter provides supplemental education about the professional practice of water related work by inviting distinguished lecturers and young professionals, developing professional skills and leadership, and participating in training, mentoring, and networking events.
Many of our speakers come from companies that are hiring more than just civil and environmental engineers, and they often work with hiring managers for transportation engineers, mechanical engineers, chemical engineers, environmental scientists, biologists, GIS specialists, and more. If you major in business, accounting, marketing, public relations, human resources, etc., these companies need you too! Come learn about them 🙂
