San Antonio Sitara is a Bollywood Fusion Dance Competition held annually in San Antonio, Texas. As a national inter-collegiate Bollywood Fusion competition, we engage the local San Antonio community and showcase the talents of collegiate, Bollywood fusion teams from around the nation. Sitara promotes South Asian dance styles, diaspora, and creativity throughout San Antonio and Texas. Our goal is to ensure the teams and audience have a fantastic experience and that we host a successful competition.
On April 16th, 2016, we inaugurated our first annual dance competition at the Buena Vista Theater, UTSA Downtown Campus in San Antonio, TX. At the core of San Antonio Sitara is the promotion of cultural diversity within the South Asian community and channeling it into a competitive, high-energy atmosphere. Now in our 7th year, we are using our experience and enthusiasm to put on an amazing event!
