UTSA Natya Mayuris a non-profit organization that is committed to preserving and promoting the rich heritage of Bharatanatyam, an Indian Classical Dance Form originating from South India. Bharatanatyam includes facial expressions, rigorous footwork, and intricate hand gestures. As a dance team, we will be performing in cultural events and competitions while providing an avenue for those who want to enhance their Bharatanatyam dance skills. In addition, we would like to create an inclusive and welcoming space for everyone who shares a passion for this classical art form. We welcome members from all backgrounds and our team aims to promote diversity and inclusivity on campus.
