Bio
Michelle Schenk is Senior Director of UTSA’s University Career Center. A former U.S. Air Force finance officer turned higher education leader, she brings over 17 years of experience in career management, specializing in career education, employer engagement, and innovative programming that scales student success.
Before joining UTSA, Michelle spent 13 years at Texas McCombs at The University of Texas at Austin, where she advanced from MBA career advisor and lecturer to Director of Employer and Alumni Engagement. During her tenure, the career team earned recognition as one of Poets & Quants’ Best MBA Career Centers of 2019.
Since arriving at UTSA in 2021 as Director of Employer Engagement, Michelle has played a key role in transforming the Career Center. In her current role, she leads employer engagement, career development, and the health professions office, driving strategies to connect students with top-tier opportunities.
Michelle grew up on Fort Sam Houston and is proud to call San Antonio home again. She holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Trinity University, an M.P.A. from The University of Washington, and an M.A. in Advertising from The University of Texas.
