Bio

Savannah Santibanez is a Career Consultant at the University Career Center. She is a double alumna of The University of Texas at San Antonio, having earned her Bachelor’s in Psychology and Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from this institution. She has worked in several departments on campus, including Supplemental Instruction and International Student Engagement. She enjoys collaborating with other offices to create innovative solutions to modern problems facing college students on their path toward career readiness.

Savannah is also a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in the state of Texas. Her work is informed by Social Cognitive Career Theory, as she works to understand how behavior, personal factors, and overall environmental influences work together to determine career interests and alignments.

She is committed to creating warm, inclusive environments where students from diverse backgrounds feel heard, supported, and empowered. Through working with college students navigating their identity and refining their career direction, she strives to foster growth through empathy, insight, and unconditional positive regard, and she is passionate about giving students a safe space to explore their passions and goals related to career development.
