Gaining Relevant Experience: Externships

An externship is a short-term opportunity where students will connect to a company/organization or with a professional to gain valuable exposure to career fields of interest. Host share their expertise and knowledge about work and careers with students and serve as a resource for externs with their career development. Students engage in job shadowing, work-based learning, mock-projects and presentations during their externship, in order to learn more about the industry. Externships are generally 1-2 day experiences.
