From immersive experiences to academic courses, Leadership & Volunteer Services provides a variety of ways to chart your leadership journey.

  • Student Leadership Academy – Engaging workshop series focused on building marketable skills.
  • Alternative Breaks – Opportunity for you to explore a social issue in the community through education, direct service, and reflection.
  • Civil Rights & Social Justice Experience – Trip that allows you to immerse yourself in the history of the Civil Rights Movement, Immigration Rights, and Indigenous Peoples Movement.
  • Leadershape – An intensive, energizing, six- day educational experience designed to equip you to become an extraordinary leader.
  • Leader U – Annual conference in September designed to prepare rising student leaders.
  • UTSA Day of Service – Annual volunteer opportunity for UTSA to come together as a community and give back to our city.
  • Storytelling – One-on-one storytelling interview, where you talk about personal experiences with community members and explore how we build our capacity to succeed despite and because of the challenges we encounter.
  • Get Involved Pathway – A series of experiences that jump-start your involvement journey through leadership development, student success, culture & belonging, health and wellbeing and pride in the UTSA community.
