Solar Head of State (SHOS) is a nonprofit that exists to promote climate leadership and the benefits of solar power, through solar PV installations designed to have maximum impact by installation on iconic buildings. SHOS is run by a network of people based around the world, sharing expertise online and meeting regularly via conference calls. This is a remote, part-time position that will allow the fellow to develop skills in communications and PR, and be part of an international team running high-profile media campaigns.
SHOS Fellows will benefit from experience working for an impactful organization and have the opportunity to engage with a range of partners working in renewable energy across the globe. Opportunities may be provided to attend high-level international events, but fellows will be expected to find funding for personal travel expenses. There may also be opportunities to build a portfolio of written pieces and for the fellow’s name to be published in the media.
We're looking for a fellow to help us create a convincing and clearly articulated message, with talking points to clearly explain our problem, solution, impact and theory of change. Our fellow would work on creating this content which would be used for grant/prize applications and on our website.
Writing experience, particularly in the nonprofit space is a big plus. This is an unpaid position.
