Internships are the key to gaining work-force experience in your field!

These experiences give you the opportunity to integrate knowledge and theory learned in the classroom with practical application and skills development in a professional setting.

Scholarship Opportunities

The University Career Center and the Najim Center sponsor a scholarship each year for students completing educational work related experiences. You must have a secured experiential learning opportunity in order to apply. Apply for the 2023 Experiential Learning Scholarship today!

The Texas chapter of the Cooperative Education & Internship Association also sponsors a scholarship for students participating in educational work experiences and all UTSA students are encouraged to apply. Applications are typically released each spring. For more information, visit TxCEIA and review scholarship information under the membership tab.

Externships

Another way to explore your career options is to attend a half or full day externship with a company or organization. During these experiences, you will learn more about what it is like to work in that specific setting by meeting with top leaders and participating in projects and/or activities. Learn more about externships here!

The UTSA University Career Center enjoys celebrating internship successes and recognizes outstanding Student Interns through our Intern Spotlight Program.
