Rachael Fletcher

Senior Associate Director of Experiential Learning

Rachael Fletcher is the the Associate Director of Internship Development. With over 8 years of experience leading experiential learning programs for diverse populations, Rachael has created and implemented youth leadership & summer camps, after-school programs, and advanced curriculum for state independent living contracts. She enjoys coordinating hands-on experiences for students that align with their passion and career goals. As a former college volleyball player and club coach, she enjoys coaching students to reach their full potential and “learn by doing”. Rachael holds a Masters Degree in Recreation and Leisure Program Management from the University of North Texas and a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Friends University in Wichita, Kansas.

Currently, Rachael provides expertise, guidance, and support to students, the UTSA Community, and industry partners to facilitate and increase high-impact learning experiences.  She coordinates workshops and events to connect students with upcoming opportunities and provides professional development support such as internship preparation, best practices during, and reflection and application upon completion. Rachael’s goal is to equip students with a competitive advantage upon entering the global workforce through participation in high-impact learning experiences. She works closely with employers to foster quality internship programs and enhance intern management.

Rachael lives by the motto “Work Hard, Play Hard!” In her free time she loves playing volleyball, hiking, and spending time outdoors.
