San Antonio – On December 17th, 2021 career consultants from the University Career Center took a tour of the Will Smith Zoo School to learn, firsthand, what career opportunities were available and what the work environment is like at the school. This is a pre-school centered around the love of conservation and preservation of the natural world.

The zoo school (which is affiliated with the San Antonio Zoo) is in search of passionate and dedicated individuals who have a love for conservation, preservation, and teaching young children. They are hiring part-time teacher assistants who have an educational background in teaching or the sciences and who have experience working with children.

Started in 2004, Will Smith Zoo School is a fully licensed preschool. It is one of the only preschools in San Antonio that uses nature as the integrating thread tying together the school’s philosophy, methodologies, classroom design, and outdoor spaces.
