US Health and Human Services to host Info Session on finding and applying to Federal Jobs and More!

Curious about which occupations are best suited to your field(s) of study? Want to know how to leverage your knowledge and expertise to make a global impact? Are you ready to tackle greater levels of responsibility?

Join us Thursday, July 6th from 4pm-6pm in the University Career Center to gain a greater understanding of the many career paths and developmental programs available to you through the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) and its 11 globally recognized operating divisions, in addition to the Department’s mission, structure, reach and work. ALL MAJORS ARE WELCOME.

Moreover, you will learn how to: • Navigate USAJOBS—the official job search portal for the federal government—and make it work for you by tailoring job searches, setting automatic notifications, uploading pertinent documents, and applying to jobs without leaving the site; • Read and understand a federal job announcement; • Craft a robust résumé/CV that highlights education, strengths, experience and accomplishments; • Nail the interview and build a strong portfolio; • Explore alternate HHS career paths and special federal hiring programs for students and recent graduates, veterans, and applicants with disabilities; • And much more!
