I’ve fielded questions about phone interviews from several students lately, and it appears that they are becoming more and more common. Employers may utilize the phone interview as a screening method, literally calling each applicant to determine whether minimum qualifications are met. Others implement the phone interview as a company practice to replace the traditional, face-to-face ‘Round One’ meeting.
