Are you the first in your family to attend college?

The term ‘first-generation college student’ is used to describe students who are the first in their families to go to college. First-generation college students tend to enter college with less knowledge of the college experience and less family support. These factors can contribute to a lack of success for the student. If not provided with the support and resources, first-generation college students can find it hard to navigate their college experience. Being the first can, however, be a rewarding experience. With the proper support, first-generation college students exceed expectations in college. Connect with the University Career Center early on so we can help get you on the right path, and help to launch your career development journey!

We look forward to helping you make the most of your college experience!
